You guessed right, Jen. In my experience the uptake of new technologies by anthropologists is, to put it mildly, uneven. I'm looking forward to checking out some of the podcasts though!

So, I have to know... too small a sample of podcasts or too small a sample to determine if anthropologists are no longer a primitive tribe? I have a feeling it's the later ;)

But to the first point: In coordinating with the SfAA on this project, it was determined I could only record 10 or so sessions. It's kind of a pilot study if you will. If folks show interest this year than we might be able to expand it out. But, this year we'll have a broad range of topics, linguistics, public violence, virtual identities, design.

Thanks for the post guys! I appreciate you helping to spread the word about the project.

Interesting. I just read about this on antropologi.info. They said it was evidence anthropologists were no longer a primitive tribe. Might be too small a sample though!
